What is revenge ? The pursuit of self-gratification based on the desire to harm someone else. Note: it has nothing to do with self-protection. At its core, revenge is a motivation that is nearly indistinguishable from the motivation of a criminal act, expect it may be more deliberated and calculated. This is why cultures based on revenge are incredibly violent to live in.
